They are in fact not just to make your pie look even prettier!
These are the shapes you will see on the top of your pies, and their meaning.
Those little pieces of pastry are put onto the pies tops immediately after the glazing process, and before they go in the oven. Importantly, they help us make sure we know which pies are which throughout their subsequent journey.
Now. if your pies ever lose their labels, then you will at least know what is inside them!!
